New Video: The Kut – ‘No Trace’

Posted in International Artists, News, Video with tags on February 4, 2014 by keelykov

Remember when bad-ass women like Hole were the norm not the exception in the music industry? The Kut, a trio of rad ladies from London are bringing back rock and roll for a new generation of female music fans.

Dark, grungy and really fucking good, The Kut’s new track ‘No Trace’ is like a homage to all the powerful music 90’s kids grew up idolizing. Taken from their forthcoming EP Makeup, released on Criminal Records, the single is an incredibly delicious sampling of what these ladies can produce.

Check out the video here and tell us what you think about The Kut.

The new video from Melbourne’s The Temper Trap is ass-kickingly awesome.

The immediate and uplifting anthem ‘Need Your Love‘ is set to a tale of triumph, tribulations and 80’s Bromance.

Picking up where Karate Kid leaves off, ‘Need Your Love’ proves that Johnny isnt as bad as he seemed and Mr Miyagi was, is and will always be a total boss.

New Video: Arctic Monkeys – Don’t Sit Down Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair

Are Arctic Monkeys trying to get on the next Tru Blood soundtrack? New single Don’t Sit Down Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair is the darkest we’ve heard the English lads yet, like they have just discovered Nick Cave and won’t stop spinning his records, and in all honestly – I downright dig it!

The accompanying video for the single goes for the whole psychedelic trip kind of thing, but it suits the track.

New Video: Boy In A Box – Glitter, Gold, Ruin

Boy In A Box

Optimistic power pop (Power Poptimistic?): Think Motion City Soundtrack roll around in the dirty a bit and get fashion advice from Gaslight Anthem.  Boy In A Box are one of those rare local finds that make you shiver all over within two seconds of hitting play.

The video for Glitter, Gold, Ruin is a very standard band-on-stage clip, but it suits the music perfectly. Without distracting, the video compliments the most excellent tune and really showcases this up-and-coming Melbourne talent.

Good song Boy In a Box. Good signing Warner.

New Video: Arctic Monkeys – Brick By Brick

Arctic Monkeys
New Arctic Monkeys video! Brick By Brick is the first single taken from their upcoming album Suck It And See, which will be released via Domino June 3rd.

So what do we think of it? Personally – I think it’s a little boring. Kind of feels like a cop-out release, like it was written in 3 minutes, recorded and released without any revisiting. You used to makes us fall in love Arctic Monkeys! What’s happened?

But then again, the bands sound has been changing release by release, so what were we really expecting?

What do you think of the new track/video?

The beautifully shot video for Time & Place pits Brissy’s Last Dinosaurs against Andy Goldsworthy for the title of Ephemeral artist extraordinaire!

Time & Place, which isn’t linear in any sense but does have an amazingly awesome Dog/Bear in it, juxtaposes the natural Australian bush with the electronic revolution.
